Poverty in Africa can and must be eradicated within our lifetime, and the key to achieving this is creating millions of good, dignified jobs. The 5-2-50 Manifesto outlines a bold vision for a "Workplace Revival," where Christian entrepreneurs view their businesses not just as a means to survive, but as a calling to bring economic healing and restoration to their communities.
To reach this goal, the manifesto introduces the "5-2-50 Challenge," which specifically targets established small businesses that have at least five employees and have been operating for at least five years. Founders are challenged to pursue three mutually supportive goals: grow their workforce to 50 people, reach ZAR 10 million in annual net profit, and restructure their operations to "free" themselves from the daily grind so they can focus on future impact.
Because growing a small business is often lonely and overwhelmingly difficult, the manifesto provides a practical blueprint for overcoming the common reasons founders get stuck. It introduces the "Impact Triangle," a model that deploys curated growth content and catalytic investment capital into collaborative "Communities of Practice," giving founders the peer accountability, wisdom, and resources necessary to break through their barriers and scale their impact.
